How does the service work?
A Personal Chef is a chef who, on your cook day, will first shop for the freshest meats and vegetables available. They will then come to your home and cook for you delicious meals that are then frozen for you to thaw and enjoy at your convenience.
Sounds great but can I afford this service?
Absolutely! If you add up what you are currently spending at fast-food and in restaurants and in wasted food that you never got around to cooking, you'll quickly see how affordable this service really is. Not only money saved but time saved too. This service can easily save you 10-12 hours per week in planning, shopping, preparation, cooking time & clean-up. Spend that extra time with your kids, at the gym, in the garden or walk the dog. Anything is better than cooking, right?
Where do you cook the food?
I will prepare your meals in your kitchen. Clients often ask if I can prepare the meals in my home and deliver them but the State of Arizona requires that I in the cook in the client's home or in an approved commercial kitchen.
How often would you cook for us?
Typically, I will be cooking for you once every two weeks, preparing two week's worth of meals.
The frequency and the number of meals is determined at the in-home interview.
Do I have to be home?
Most often, I will be cooking for you while you are at work. All I need is a key and/or a passcode. Chances are I will be gone by the time you get home, leaving your freezer full of goodies and your home full of wonderful aromas.
Do you use my pots and pans?
No, I will bring with me all of the spices, utensils and cookware that will be needed for your service. All I need is a clean and working stove & oven and enough room in your freezer and refrigerator to accommodate the meals.
What kind of food will you cook for us?
At the in-home interview, I will meet with all of the family members and we will discuss your what you like to eat and don't like, preferences, allergies, etc. Then, based on that information I will put together for you a customized menu plan. I will then submit the menu to the you for final approval. I have a large database of recipes, all proven to freeze well. If you imagine it, I can cook it for you.
